The first rap i can remember writing was when i was about 14 years old. It was about smoking weed and only about a page long. After writing about 3 different little raps i gave up on that.
Next around age 14 and 15 i wrote some kinda poetry in a journal i called the death book. I was suppose to keep a journal for biology class but i never did my work so i had this little extra book that i would write about the stuff that made me upset. Every time a girl hurt my feelings or i was lonely i would write it down, writing it down transformed into writing my feelings down in rhyme patterns or poetry, but it wasnt really put together well, it was just thrown in there to express my feelings since i had no one to tell.
About age 19 is when i really wanted to write music. i would listen to songs and then write like 13 pages to a beat i was listneing to. then what i did was sampled the beat on my cassette player, if i could find a loop in a song i would record it, then hit pause, then record it and do the same thing about 100 times until i had a full instrumental. hey this was back in about 1999 so thats all i could do.
I did that for about 40 songs until i saved up about 400$ to buy a computer about 8 months later. Back then there wasnt really any music programs out except hip hop ejay. Hip Hop ejay was a program that came with tons of loops and u pasted the loops together so thats what i did i took all my previous songs i wrote and put them to the hhej loops but i didnt wanna put those out yet becuase those werent my beats. so this was practice to me. I did this with about another 80 songs until i eventually i saved up another 300$ to buy a cheap keyboard. i then started making my own music on the keyboard/piano mixed with the samples. All i did was write write write back then. I did this for the next few years until about 2003.
By 2003 i was dead, i just had gone thru years of everyday being harassed by police for having a nice car, everywhere i went i was confronted by groups of people wanting to fight me becuase i was popular, i was a drunk, i was suicidal, i was crazy. I had no more friends, i walked alone, and to make it worse the only person i cared about broke up with me.
At about the same time i had met someone willing to change my life around, someone who just wanted to listen to me and help me. this was about the only hope i had at that time, everyday i wanted to kill myself and i even ended up in the psych ward over it cuz of cops with 12 gauges pointed at me. i can laugh at that now. but anyways back to this person. i only new her a few months her name was erin. the symbols i write everywhere 12062001 mean december 6th 2001, the day she was put into a coma. while she was in a coma i wrote a song for her called butterfly. overnight she died and never got to hear this song.
I took this as her dying but my new life was beginning. I dont really like to think about my life before them days. I made a promise to her that this song i made for her would be put on a cd for the whole world to hear, even if i didnt make it big the point was i just wanted to get her name out there so people know when someone dies we have to not forget about them. i accomplished that goal.
In 2003 i bought a digital recorder and finally had most the tools i needed to make all original music and let people hear it, so i made a few tracks and submitted my music to a contest Insane Clown Posse had. i was one of the first contestants on phat or whack and i won giving me a few thousand fans instantly. This is where i met the other artists i have on my lable, we been doing music together for the past 5 years and we dont talk as much now that were adults but they will always be first to me.
By 2004 i finally manufactured my first cd with the butterfly song on it and mainly stuck to online promoting. I didnt care about concerts back then, i wasnt the type of person to brag about my music i just kinda put it out there and let people find it.
Sometime in early 2005 one of our biggest fans at that time named morbid (we aint forgot yah homie) was always promoting us in canada. He knew this girl Maggie from a chat room and she happened to live in ohio about a hour from cleveland where i live. Maggie's boyfriend named Brick and his cousin Zno where in a rap group called nocturnal night krawlers. They where new to music but had a few concerts under there belt. Morbids word spread to them and these dudes where really cool to me. We got together and recorded a song together at the studio spun uses out in vermillion. Then brick said hey we have a concert with Marz coming up u should do this colab song with us. I listened to marz in dark lotus and in ministry when i was like 8 years old so i was nervous as fuck but was like hell yah. got drunk, got on stage did my part then hopped off and people loved it. then a few months later we did another show together with esham and blaze also of psychopathic records. by december2005/january2006 i got to book my first solo concert opening up for anybody killa and blaze.
Also at the time i was first on icp's webpage in 2003 i met someone who was opening for twiztid at the time and asked me if i wanted to do a concert but i wasnt ready to. this later on turned out to be chris from psych ward and also the booking agent at peabodys who has hooked me up with pretty much any concert i wanted. Props to them guys, we mob like family.
Since then i just been grinding thru obstacles and doing whatever concerts come up. I rap at rap concerts, and i rap at rock concerts. Ive done about 4 concerts with Marz, 2 with Blaze, 2 with ABK, 2 with Tech N9ne, 1 with Lavel, Potluck, Dog Faced Gods, The Cleveland Music Festival, D12's Bizarre, Twiztid, Boondox, Project Born, Dj Clay, been on the radio a few times, and met tons of kickass celebrities.
